Women in Produce Summit

CPMA will host the second edition of the Women in Produce Summit, a half-day event dedicated to celebrating women, highlighting their leadership and achievements within the fresh produce industry.

The summit also aims to inspire and empower both current and future generations of women in the fruit and vegetable sector, by fostering growth, recognition, and opportunities for women across the entire produce supply chain.

Crystal Mackay

CEO, LOFT32

Crystal is a professional speaker with a rich background in agriculture and food that started with her family beef farm and grew to CEO level roles. Her passion? Fuelling the future by inspiring the dedicated individuals who make the agri-food world turn.

Crystal has an impressive track record for collaborating and connecting across North America’s food system. She created many award-winning farm to fork efforts - including starting two non-profit organizations, Farm & Food Care and the Canadian Centre for Food Integrity, and her own company, LOFT32 in 2019. Mackay has been recognized for her contributions to agriculture, food and communications on many levels, with the University of Guelph Medal of Achievement, named Most Influential Women in Canadian Agriculture in 2021, and the CAMA Lifetime Achievement Award for Agri-Food Marketing in 2025.

She loves to cheer her two teenagers on in life and sports, and plays hockey whenever she gets the chance!

Seema Sanghavi

Founder, Cooks Who Feed

Seema Sanghavi is the founder of Cooks Who Feed, a social enterprise that produces fair-trade kitchen linens with a meal giveback. Driven by a passion for ending food insecurity, her company’s mission is to empower food lovers to contribute to a hunger-free world. To date, Cooks Who Feed has provided 2 million meals to those in need.


Beyond her professional work, Seema is an avid cook and traveler. Having worked in Canada, the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, and India, she has gained a deep understanding of global cuisines. She enjoys taking cooking classes to learn local techniques and considers herself an amateur chef.


Seema is a mother of three and holds a bachelor’s degree in business and education, as well as an MBA from the Schulich School of Business.
