Travelling to Vancouver
Vancouver International Airport (YVR)
Vancouver is predominantly served by one airport: Vancouver International Airport (YVR). Vancouver’s rapid transit rail link connects the YVR airport to downtown Vancouver by means of the Canada Line.
By taking the Canada Line from the airport, you can reach downtown in 26 minutes and Richmond in 18 minutes. It’s a fast and easy way to get to the city centres. You can conveniently access trains from both the International and Domestic Terminals, as the Canada Line’s YVR-Airport station is centrally located between these two terminals.
Directions to Canada Line for Passengers Arriving at YVR Airport
- Arriving from within Canada:
If you’re picking up checked bags, you are at Arrivals, level 2 of the Domestic Terminal. Go to Level 3 and walk toward the Link Building (located in between the International and Domestic Terminals). Follow the signs marked Canada Line or ask any Customer Care staff in red or green vests for assistance.
- Arriving from the U.S.A or an international destination:
Once through the customs and immigration arrivals process, walk toward the exit to the International Arrivals Greeting Area. Exit the building following signs marked . Before the parkade entrance, an escalator and elevator will take you up to the Canada Line platform.
Key Transit Stations for Delegates of the CPMA Convention and Trade Show
CPMA Convention and Trade Show delegates must ride the Canada Line in its entirety to reach the host hotel. The YVR-Airport Station is located at one end of the Canada Line and the Waterfront Station, where delegates must get off for the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel, is located at the other end of the Canada Line.
Returning to YVR Airport via the Canada Line
For your return flight, as you exit the train, turn left for domestic flights or right for U.S. and international flights.
