Chef Massimo Capra
As one of the most acclaimed chefs in Canada, beloved television personality Chef Massimo Capra is highly respected for his culinary devotion, outgoing personality, and zest for life. He is well known for his numerous television appearances on CityLine, as well as on hit Food Network shows Restaurant Makeover, Chopped Canada and Top Chef Canada. A restaurant owner and consultant, he is also the award-winning author of three books.
Chef Massimo will be focusing on this year’s theme, Flavours of the World, by highlighting the changes he’s seen over the years in the culinary world, what influences him to choose his ingredients, and how to enhance dishes with flavours from various regions. Born in Italy, Chef Massimo is no stranger to a world of diverse ingredients and understanding their impact on flavouring.
Chef Massimo Capra’s latest venture is in his hometown of Mississauga; Capra's Kitchen, which opened in the summer of 2016, is a casual Italian eatery with a heavy emphasis on pasta, pizza and antipasto.
