Matthew Corrin,
Founder and CEO of Freshii restaurants

Keynote presentation:
Dear Produce, Love Freshii
A conversation with Matthew Corrin

In 2005, at the age of 23, and without any restaurant experience, Matthew Corrin opened his own fresh-food restaurant in downtown Toronto. Twelve years later, Freshii is the fastest growing multinational restaurant chain in the world and is on a mission to change the way the world eats. Freshii went public in January 2017, and has evolved into a global brand with hundreds of locations worldwide, all still guided by that same mission. Freshii’s fast success can be attributed to its “fast-fashion” business and menu-innovation model, bringing forward the latest health and wellness trends at an affordable price point, as well as it’s millennial culture and “launch fast, fail fast, iterate faster” mentality.

Get an inside look at Freshii’s recipe for success in this exclusive fireside chat with CEO and founder, Matthew Corrin, and Chief People Officer, Ashley Dalziel. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Tips and strategies that led to success in a restaurant industry with a 90% fail rate.
  • Five guiding principles that the Freshii team lives by and is driven by, every day.
  • Freshii’s “for millennials by millennials” culture and what it means to live and breathe the Freshii lifestyle.
  • The role of fresh produce and innovation in Freshii’s menu offering, from individual meals to meal boxes.

Matthew Corrin is the founder & CEO of Freshii. He is a recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award, Canada’s Top 40 under 40, Inc. magazine’s Top 30 under 30, and the Canadian Association of Foodservice Professionals Restaurateur of the Year.

In 2015, he was featured as a dragon on CBC’s newest show in the Dragons Den, the Next Gen Den, which focuses on mobile, millennial entrepreneurs. Matthew has been featured in Fortune, CNN and Bloomberg television.

Matthew will be interviewed on stage by Ashley Dalziel, Chief People Officer, at Freshii.
